The IP Showcase, presented by the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), will participate in the upcoming 2020 NAB Show New York digital experience, showcasing IP-based solutions from member-vendors and highlighting ongoing educational presentations and initiatives designed to help the industry move toward all-IP infrastructure for media production. The IP Showcase will host a live channel on Oct. 19, the first day of the show, to provide attendees with an overview of current progress toward standards-based interoperability in the IP realm.
“With the coronavirus pandemic accelerating many organizations’ shift to IP, education on standards-based protocols for interoperability over IP in the media and entertainment industry has become more important than ever,” said Steve Reynolds, deputy chairman of the board, AIMS. “The 2020 NAB Show New York offers industry professionals, technology vendors, and standards organizations a valuable opportunity to meet and collaborate in making progress from legacy technologies toward IP.”
In addition to hosting its own live NAB Show New York channel, with video available on-demand for later viewing, IP Showcase representatives will take part in Marketplace Live Chats throughout the event. Attendees will have the chance to interact in real time, access videos on achieving standards-based interoperability, and download material outlining the AIMS roadmap.
Running Oct. 19-29, NAB Show New York will feature training and technical sessions designed for media and entertainment industry professionals, presentations by industry leaders, the 71st Technology & Engineering Emmy®Awards presentation, and virtual exhibits and demos hosted by nearly 200 companies.
